I was born and raised in a hunting/fishing family in Eastern Iowa. My father would take me out hunting for small game, pheasants, and whitetail deer. It wasn’t until my late 20’s that I was introduced into waterfowl hunting by a close friend. From the first time I stepped into a duck blind I was hooked. From then on my hunting focus has been on waterfowling. The sound of cupped wings cutting air and the fast paced action are second to none. My favorite species to hunt would have to be mallards in a cut corn field. This will be my second year running DOA decoys and the realism and movement on the water is second to none. The durability of the Rogue Series Canada fullbodies are top of the line. The abuse that decoys take going in and out of a trailer can be brutal, but the DOA’s withstand the abuse every time and still look brand new. The Beavertail cargo sleds have been life savors when hauling decoys and gear in the marsh. Fully loaded with gear they float and pull with ease.
